Your artwork's chain of custody stays accountable for the full length of the trip, whether it travels in our own vehicle from start to finish or, when needed, through a fully vetted, formally licensed partner carrier. It's never quietly passed along an informal network of independent carriers with no paperwork and no accountability.

Federally Licensed, Not Just Insured Language: We hold active FMCSA interstate operating authority (USDOT #4384684, MC #1719391) and Unified Carrier Registration, the same compliance standard required of any legitimate commercial carrier, which most regional art movers and general movers do not carry.
Purpose-Equipped, Not Climate-Controlled: Our vehicle isn't climate-controlled. It's built instead around fine art securement, padding, and handling systems, the protections that matter for most transport within Colorado's dry climate. For temperature-sensitive pieces, we offer Fragile Handling as an add-on.
Boutique by Design: Arête is run by two women who handle every shipment personally, from first call to final delivery.

Fine art insurance is one of the most misunderstood parts of the shipping process, and it's not something we sell. We do not offer fine art insurance, as we are not licensed insurance brokers. We highly recommend securing all-risk fine art transit insurance before collection.
